Cowards Attack on Erev Shabbos

On Friday night (Shabbos) leftists again rioted outside the homes of the Shimon Hatzadick neighborhood in Jerusalem. This time the rocks and other objects hit their mark, injuring two Jewish men. One was treated on site and another had to be taken to the hospital for stitches to a gash under his eye. The men were attacked, because they were walking to and from the synagogue (on Shabbos).

To the everlasting shame of this country it was leftist Jews calling themselves “Solidarity With Sheikh Jarrah” who were responsible for this cowardly attack. According to the article in Arutz 7 these vile people guffawed, and laughed when one man was taken to hospital for stitches~to their everlasting shame...I maintain that only very primitive (sub-human) minds take joy in injuring a fellow human being. There was a security camera on site and hopefully the police will do their duty and arrest the morons who take joy in attacking people on Shabbos~on their way to synagogue! They deserve jail-time, but I guarantee, if they do happen to get charged be prepared for  a wailing and and gnashing of teeth. This type likes to dish it out, but they are cowardly wimps when it comes back at them!

Tomb of Shimon Hatzadik
The land on which the neighborhood stands was purchased by Jews in 1876, with housing built soon after under the aegis of Rabbi Shmuel Salant, chief rabbi of Jerusalem at the time. The Jewish families living there, in proximity to the grave of Rabbi Shimon Hatzadik [Simon the Just, a member of the Great Assembly of Sages in pre-Mishnaic times] had to leave during the 1948 War of Independence when the area was lost to Jordan. After the Six Day War, Jews returned to the homes, which are legally owned by Jews although occupied by Arab squatters in the interim.

You need to read the above paragraph again. The land was and is legally owned by Jews. The Arabs who call it Sheikh Jarrah were and are squatters.

I am waiting for the media to make a fuss about these regular attacks on innocent people, but as it was an observant Jew who was injured I probably won't live that long. If you don't live in Israel, you should know that the media only makes big headlines over stories that make the religious Jews look bad and they always blow it way out of proportion. When an Arab or left-winger is injured it is touted as violent apartheid, but a religious Jew...meh!

Ya'akov Pauchi~Injured
The injured man, Ya'akov Pauchi, is someone I have met in study classes at my rabbi's home. He is a good natured, very smart young man, who often leads the Shabbos meals when the rabbi is away. He has a great sense of humour and is well liked by all.

This harassment and rock-throwing has been going on for years. Those who come out to scream, threaten and throw rocks behave worse than animals. At one time police did try to keep them at bay, but lately, with the fetid cloud of appeasement in the air, groups like this are becoming more brazen and violent.

One can only hope our government pulls their heads out of their a$$e$ and take strong steps to enforce the law. After all, if a religious Jew does not wanting to sit next to a woman is considered a heinous crime, how much worse is this attack causing grievous bodily harm...

We should all express our solidarity with all religious Jews who have been victims of attacks and discrimination! The secular and religious authorities in Israel, as well as Jewish and Zionist leaders around the world, should be sensitized to put a stop to this most pernicious form of discrimination and anti-Semitism, still to come from inside.

Israel, Jerusalem, Judaism, Zionism, Middle East, Aliyah, Conversion, and everything else that pops up
