Tefillin and a Super Bowl Ring

The Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl on Sunday night. Way back in the 90's,  Alan Veingrad was a starting lineman for the Green Bay Packers. He then moved on to the Dallas Cowboys and helped them win the Super Bowl in 1992.

Why am I telling you this?  Well, for two reasons...

First because I just happen to like football, and second because Alan Veingrad, now known as Shlomo, is a practicing Orthodox Jew.

Arutz 7 tells the story of how, when he played college football in Texas, Veingrad found he was unable to answer even basic questions from curious non-Jews (some of whom never met a Jew). Now, the former lineman often speaks to Jews--young and old--about his transformation.

This is a nice, feel good story...Enjoy!
