Israel Under Attack~Again!

Since about 7:30am my Red Alert App has been pinging constantly with very little down time. In a space of about three minutes (from 09:20 to 09:23)  I counted fifty alerts...

Very early this morning IDF targeted Islamic Jihad commander Bahaa Abu al-Atta, sending him off to his 72 virgins. He had carried out untold attacks on Israelis and was about to target more, so, Israel retaliated and stopped him. 

Israelis from Sderot, Netivot and areas all the way up to Ashdod, Ashkelon and Ramat Gan are being bombarded. The Israeli news channel showed the Tel Aviv train station being evacuated.

I live in Jerusalem, and so far it is very quiet. I am guessing the reason is that the rockets are not accurate and they are afraid they will hit their mosque that sits on the Temple Mount. 

Like always, Israel has a policy of making pin-point attacks. We do not drop bombs indiscriminately. The PA news is announcing that Israel has been bombing Gaza since early morning. Not true. What is true, is Islamic Jihad minions have been firing non-stop rockets into Israel, and now, the IDF has started pin-point attacks to take out the rocket launchers~and they are very accurate. 

Make no mistake, when you declare war on Israel and fire rockets at our kids, be assured that our Israeli Forces will stop you~permanently!

Two brothers, Jules Clément and Thomas Gédéon Naudet were making a documentary on New York firefighters. They decided to follow a rookie "probie" firefighter Antonio "Tony" Benetatos, in the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) academy training, then into a firehouse. 

At the firehouse, all they needed was to film a "real" fire, but each day was quiet. On the morning of September 11th, what started out to be just another day took a sudden change for the worse. This is what they saw, with actual footage of the firefighters inside the towers, and then outside, as the second tower fell. 

With the towers gone, the firefighters began the long process of digging, searching, hoping to find survivors. What horrors they saw, we can never imagine. In the words of  one firefighter, "I just realized, how evil...evil can be"...

This was evil, make no mistake about it~and the Evil of Islam still screams for an end to the western world of freedom and democracy~they would have us revert to the dark ages.  

We must insure they do NOT succeed. We Must Never Forget!

More Chemotherapy...An Update

A few weeks ago I posted (HERE) about a good friend going through a big challenge after being diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma (LMS). On Sunday, 14 July, my friend was back in the Chemo-chair.

The week before her hair began to literally "fly off" as she put it. She said she was sitting in front of the fan and the hairs began to fly through the hair. A quick trip to her hairdresser and it was shaved down to about one millimeter. She also decided to buy a hat. A sensible decision as we are currently going through a heatwave and sun is not good for chemo patients. 

As a witness to her treatments I am beginning to notice many things. For instance, hair just dries up and falls off. She had a loose end sticking up and when I touched it it just slipped off into my fingers. She said she is bothered by the mess due to shedding, but not that it is falling out~she has never been the slightest bit vain and I see it even more now.

When sitting in the hospital for the latest treatment she was advised that they will give her two more sessions. As I understand it, they do two weeks treatment, one week break. She is booked for a CT scan and we are all praying that the Chemo has worked and the lesions have shrunk, if not totally vanished.

Watching my friend over the past months I have a new respect. We have known each other for years, but I see another aspect to her personality. She works very hard to keep an upbeat attitude and does not moan and groan about her lot in life. She has such a positive outlook that others notice and it seems to put people more at ease. She does try to maintain a normal life while dealing with the endless paperwork, appointments, prescriptions, etc. etc. All this while coping with fatigue, nausea, lack of appetite to name a few. I think she is doing great!

As I said in the last post she tries to update her blogs. She has three, one in English ( HERE ) and two in German ( HERE ) and ( HERE ). She also posts on her YouTube Channel.

How Do You Help A Friend?

The Start of the Day...

I have a good friend who is undergoing a traumatic experience. Having never been sick her entire life, she discovered she had a tumor in her stomach. Within days she was in surgery. 

They removed a tumor almost 30cm and weighing 6 kilograms~huge~in fact it was one of the largest removed at Shaare Zedek hospital! It had destroyed her reproductive organs and badly damaged her kidneys. The specialist was pleased the kidneys were saved but she had to have a stent in for several weeks.

She was in hospital eleven days. Then she was told that the biopsy diagnosis was Leiomyosarcoma (LMS). It is a recurring soft tissue sarcoma that does not go away and in fact continuously recurs all over the body, except, oddly enough in the breast tissue. CT Scans must be done every three months.

Just months after the surgery she had a spot show on her lung. Three months later it had doubled in size and a new stomach lesion appeared. The doctors are attempting a harsh series of chemotherapy treatments in the hope that if her body can tolerate the treatment it will shrink the lesions. This will never end~my friend is facing a continuous series of surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation.

My question is, how can one be of help? You can't keep saying "be positive" when you are standing on the outside watching the progress of the treatments for this disease. I seems to me that:- when your hair is falling out, you are nauseous all day and night, have no taste or appetite, and no energy to even stand up, someone telling you to be positive is ludicrous! She told me this week that the only thing she feels like eating is mustard~I have no response to that!

All in all she seems to be handling it well, and really trying to be up beat and even a bit active, but she is scared~who would not be! What I am really looking for is ways to be helpful. I go with her for the hospital treatments, try to bring things like food, etc., but I am limited in my own resources. She obviously can't work, and disability here is not overly generous. 

How do people who live alone survive? How can we help? I am open to all suggestions.

Update to Hidden, Ill-Gotten Payout to Omar Kadr

Last Month on 12 March 2019, I posted (Click HERE)  an article about the discovery of part of the hidden Ten Million Dollars that the Trudeau government paid out to terrorist Omar Kadr. 

There was still approximately seven million unaccounted for, and Sheila Gunn Reid of Rebel Media, was determined to find out where it went.

Now, in the report below she tells of a link to the hidden funds. More than that, she uncovered proof that Justin Trudeau and his government collaborated with the lawyers of Omar Kadr to conceal the money from the families of Kadr's victims.

It is bad enough that the Government of Canada pulled off such a stunt with tax-payer money, but worse than that it demonstrates Trudeau's willingness to cater to a terrorist while Canadian soldiers who were wounded when sent overseas by the same government are told that they are "asking for too much"! 

My Personal Opinion?  Justin Trudeau should be made to Pay the Ten Million Dollars out of His Own Pocket and the government should insure the wounded Canadian Soldiers get the medical treatment they need and deserve!!

Those who condemn the IDF do not have to live under the constant threat of attack and the unreasonable hatred that is drilled into children from birth. What parent raises an innocent child to hate so much that they will kill and die for that hatred. If you listen, what the "elders" are actually doing, is sending out the young to die while they sit back smoking and and getting fat waiting for their children to deliver our country to them~or better yet~to die so they can have more press time. What drives people to hate so much they will not even try to live in peace for the sake of their children?

There is no rational reason for the behaviour. Even those who have moved or have been born in Europe or North America are still spouting the same hatred! It is beyond any form of reason. 

Does the IDF fire back? They have to. The first time they put their weapons down they will be torn to pieces! I mean that literally as it has happened in the past.

As I was on my way home from work last week, I passed down Agripas street in Jerusalem. As usual it was crowded, busy, with traffic pile-ups and a lot of frustrated people waiting for the bus. On top of that it had been raining on and off and everyone was soggy.

So what to do in these situations??

There is a well-known group, the majority of which are young people, who have found a way to bring a smile in all types of weather and situations. People call them "Na Nas", because they follow some of the teachings of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. Do not mistake them for the serious hasidic Breslov groups, because these young people dance to their own beat.

They are known all around the country as they show up in their battered wildly painted vans. Without warning they stop in the middle of the street. Or at traffic lights and get out to dance...People Love It!
