Birkat Kohanim~2016

I Would Recommend All Jews Attend at Least Once...

The Blessing began when Moses first blessed Aaron and has continued to this day. Jews traveled to Jerusalem to hear the blessing on the "High Holidays" before "islam" was even thought of. In Jerusalem, we hear the Birkat Kohanim every morning in synagogue.

May the LORD bless you and guard you...
(Yevhārēkh-khā Adhōnāy veyishmerēkhā...)

("Yāʾēr Adhōnāy pānāw ēlekhā viḥunnékkā...)
May the LORD make His face shed light upon you and be gracious unto you...

May the LORD lift up His face unto you and give you peace...
("Yissā Adhōnāy pānāw ēlekhā viyāsēm lekhā shālōm.")
