The War Between Civilization & Barbarism

Prof. Aryeh Eldad, MD, is an Israeli physician, politician, former member of the Knesset for the National Union and Otzma LeYisrael, and is a Brigadier-General (reserves) in the Israel Defense Forces. He is a soft-spoken, intelligent man~a good man.

For the first time in Arutz7. he has released a statement and requested that it be widely distributed. Dr. Eldad believes that understanding today's conflict merely as a territorial dispute, and not a war between civilizations, deprives us of the doctrinal basis to effectively pursue a conclusion of hostilities.

"I have never written before asking to "please forward onward" (a message) so that as many (people) as possible can understand radical Islam and what awaits the world if it is not stopped...Prof. Aryeh Eldad"

Dr. Eldad States:
I was instrumental in establishing the Israeli National Skin Bank, which is the largest in the world. The National Skin Bank stores skin for everyday needs as well as for war time or mass casualty situations. The skin bank is hosted at the Hadassah Ein Kerem University hospital in Jerusalem where I was the Chairman of plastic surgery.

This is how I was asked to supply skin for an Arab (Muslim) woman from Gaza, who was hospitalized in Soroka Hospital in Beersheva, after her family burned her. Usually, such atrocities happen among (Muslim) Arab families when the women are suspected of having an affair.

We supplied all the needed Homograft for her treatment. She was successfully treated by my friend and colleague, Prof. Lior Rosenberg, and discharged to return to Gaza. She was invited for regular follow-up visits to the outpatient clinic in Be'er-Sheva.

One day she was caught at a border crossing wearing a suicide belt. Her mission was to explode herself in the outpatient clinic of the hospital where they saved her life. It seems that her family promised her that if she did that, they would forgive her.

This is only one example of the war between Jews and Muslims in the Land of Israel. It is not a territorial conflict. This is a civilizational conflict, or rather "A War Between Civilization and Barbarism.

When Israel was celebrating the miracle of it's re-birth she also had to contend with the foolishness of "nakba" day in Israel. This has nothing to do with human rights because anyone who has the courage to be honest and look at the facts will know that regardless of the problems the arabs have in Israel, they are still treated far better that they are in any Arab country! The idea that Israel is "apartheid" or is responsible for "murdering innocents" is nothing more than the old "blood libels" with a twist.

For some time I have been interested in the Jews who originated from Arab countries. There are many stories and opinions. What there has not been in the past, is the recognition of these Jews whose numbers are estimated as being close to one million. They were brutally attacked, many murdered and almost the entire population run out of the countries in which they had lived for centuries. The fled with little more than the shirts on their backs. Many came to Israel where they faced a new set of problems, and many were dispersed to westernized countries around the world. What has not been said, is that they did not claim to be "perpetual refugees". They bore their hardships, suffered the indignities and worked hard to integrate and begin new lives.

Ethnic Cleansing of Jews From Arab Countries

I have a very dear friend who survived the Shoah with her mother and two sisters. Her teen years were spent in Auschwitz. 

Rather than let the horror of the evil she lived through take over her life, she went on to marry and raise an amazing family of her own. At the same time she returned to school and eventually became a psychologist. She made aliyah and dedicated herself to working with those suffering trauma~especially victims of the Shoah and their families.

She  told us a story of a visit she was asked to make to a seniors living facility in Israel. The residents were not Ashkenazim from Europe, or even Sabras (native Israelis). They were Sephardi Jews who had lived in Middle-Eastern countries occupied by Arabs~countries such as Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Syria. Libya, Morocco, Yemen, Tunisia and other areas.

As she greeted the people she told them a bit of her own story. She acknowledged that they most likely could not identify with her tribulations and asked if any of them had ever gone through trauma during their lifetimes.

What followed was a flood of stories about the persecution and ethnic cleansing of the Jews from the Middle-East. These people had carried the horror of their escape and expulsion all their lives and very few people had heard of it~or wanted to hear of it! It is a story that even our own government in Israel has not given a loud enough voice to. 

More than a million Jews were expelled between 1946 and 1974~over a million "forgotten" fugitives viciously expelled from the Arab world. More than a million suffering, destitute souls whom the world tried to forget, while the victims themselves quietly accepted their fate as they struggled to reach a safe place and begin their lives again. For thousands of years Jews had been living in Arabic lands. They were there before Islam, and they remained, accepting their fate and being thankful for the miracle of their survival.

The beginning of their exodus, 1948, coincided with the birth of the State of Israel. While Arab armies were preparing to invade the young refugee-country, and survivors of the Shoah were cramming into leaking "ships" to return to the land they had prayed to return to, a few hundred thousand Arabs from the former "British Mandate of Palestine" were getting ready to flee their homes~convinced that the Jews would be pushed into the sea, and they would return as conquerors and "take it all" .

They filled up camps built on their "brothers" land, but because of their refusal to integrate~and their brother's refusal to let them~they continued to pass on their refugee status to the next generations to this very day. A few hundred thousand has become over seven million! Seven million "refugees" who have their own UN agency, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to feed and care for them with billions of dollars from western countries. Unlike others, they never give up their refugee status and remain willing pawns to be used by the Arab world in their efforts to wipe Israel from the face of the earth.

The Jews from Arab countries did not get any special status~or any status at all for that matter. They had lost everything including relatives, memories and the very graves their ancestors were buried in. They never asked for compensation, a right to return, or even made a fuss to have their story told…

His films dig deep below the surface to reveal the truth. I urge all to watch the movie below and learn more about the "Silent Exodus". Hopefully, one day, the truth will be known...

I have posted items about Dr. Wafa Sultan in the past (see links below). This amazing woman was born into an Alawite Muslim family, in Baniyas, Syria. She is a medical doctor who trained in psychiatry at Aleppo University. (Wikipedia)

After 9/11, she became known for her essays and participation in the middle-east political debates.

There are many things that I, personally, can say about Islam and the lack of desire to integrate, or even acknowledge the rights of any but themselves. I make that statement as one who lives in the middle-east, surrounded by muslims...the majority of which are extremists.

Regardless of my own personal experiences and opinions, I feel that the best voice to educate the world at large is that of people like Dr. Wafa Sultan~a woman born into Muslim family, educated in Syria who knows Islam, and who speaks fluent Arabic.

The Truth About What Israeli Soldiers Face...

Over the years I have met those who have served in the IDF, those who are serving and the worried parents of children just out of high school facing an enemy determined to kill them. 

The "Rules of Engagement" are not designed to protect our soldiers~they appear to serve to protect those that would kill our young defenders. 

The fact that the IDF continues to perform with restraint under the most unimaginable conditions is to me, nothing short of a miracle. 

Although the film below is a snarky look at a daily situation, it speaks volumes of truth in what it portrays. Look around your city at the youth in their final year of high school. Can you imagine them facing murderous hatred on a daily basis? Do you think they would be able to face such an enemy and Not react?  What would you have your child do in this situation??

Hashem should Bless all the young men and women who are on the front lines defending us and those who are supporting them. We will never be able to thank them for what they do!

Life in Israel is nothing like the media portrays. It is better, it is worse, it is none of the above. 

One constant has always been the plight of the "Poor Arabs suffering at the hands of the Israelis". In fact, much of the problems are created by the PA leaders themselves, which in turn is used as a tool to the benefit of no one, except the fat cats at the top who line their pockets with the very funds designated for aid.

There always has, and probably always will be tensions between Jews and Arabs, but at the same time, there has been and can be times of peace. The key thing, is that is takes "two" to make peace, but only "one" to start a war.

Sarah Zoabi is the mother of Muhammed Zoabi, the outspoken young man who was forced to go into hiding when he publicly voiced support for the three Jewish teens who were kidnapped (and murdered) by Arab terrorists. In spite of the dangers he faces, Muhammed has joined the IDF. Sarah appeared on Israel's Master Chef TV program and voiced her opinions to the entire country! The members of this family are proud, productive Israeli citizens. They have spoken up, and in continuing  to do so, put their lives in danger. 

Regardless of your opinions on Israel and the PA, please take time to listen to what this very brave woman has to say. Please think about the points that she makes. Finally, please pray for the safety of Sarah and her family.

First  let me preface this by saying I do know people living in Finland. They are smart, intelligent and all round "good people" to know. I have not spoken to them about the video below, but I find it hard to believe that they would even think this would have an effect.

Living in the middle-east, I am very familiar with the mind set of the men. Trust me when I say, "the force" might make them laugh but most likely will only get them excited. As an added thought, it is rare that a Muslim will be a single attacker. They prefer groups where they clearly outnumber and outpower their prey.

When are people in the west ever going to clue in that you are not dealing with your own culture. You are dealing with a centuries old set of thoughts and beliefs that show no sign of abating any time soon. Your women and children, and indeed your society is at risk. Do your homework. Look at what has happened to "every" country that Muslims have moved to. They do not move to integrate, they move to take over.

This morning I was at the tram stop a bit later than usual. As I was checking the time a fuss was taking place a few meters away. I looked up to see a couple of security guards challenging a young Arab man~most likely because he was behaving suspiciously.

From where I stood, the Arab was behaving in a very aggressive manner, swinging what looked like a large bottle at the guard trying to back him onto the rails. 

In the blink of an eye he was on the ground~and others across the track were clearing the area. In minutes there were police and security everywhere, streets were blocked.

The guards contained the attacker, and blocked any danger to the public. 

One guard knelt at the man's head to keep him from moving while the second pulled his clothing away~to insure there are no weapons or explosive devices.

In rapid response, the streets in all directions were cordoned off and a plethora of security forces were lined up and directing the people back to a safe distance. Shops along the street closed the doors and some lowered the metal treis. 

The first thing that arrived (along with squads of police) was a truck carrying the "robot". This tiny tractor is sent in to exam suspicious packages to determine the next action. It is kind of like a giant robotic toy and I noted that people quite enjoyed seeing it deployed!

In this situation many things happen in rapid succession. I noted that at all times there were forces lined at each end of the street to keep the curious out of the way, answer questions and most importantly, watch for other dangers that may be mingling in the crowd.

What I (or any other onlookers) did not know at the time, was that there was a bomb in the man's back pack. One of the guards who was first on the spot told our "crowd" he thought it was a bomb and described it. 

The news has since reported that as well as several pipe bombs, there were knives in the bag and that a major attack had been avoided.

Very soon, the bomb-sniffing dogs arrived~3 of them, with tails wagging and ears alert. Around the same time a second, smaller robot was also deployed.

By this time we had been pushed back to the intersection and details of what was going on were difficult to see.

Local news has since reported that one of the guards was Druze, and had challenged the man in Arabic. Because our security people are trained to spot problems, he was able to deduce that something was not right and the quick actions avoided a disaster. 

The professional, rapid actions of our security people and forces were once again able to stop a disaster from happening. They know what to look for and do not hesitate to challenge anyone who they think is a danger.

This past week, two children tragically died after being left in a car in the burning heat. The video below was sent to me by a friend and I think it is something that everyone needs to see, and learn from.

It can take as little as 15 minutes for a child to suffer life-threatening brain or kidney injuries. When a child's body temperature reaches 104 degrees, internal organs shut down. At 107 degrees, children die...NBC News

Nothing is worth taking a chance on the life of a child! If you can't find someone to watch your child keep them with you! If you can't keep them with you~STAY HOME WITH THEM!

If you are unwilling to do this then don't have children! For that matter, don't have a pet either! And, yes, I did have kids and pets. That is part of the territory when you have children or pets...

Netzah Yehuda March to The Kotel On Jerusalem Day

Kfir Brigade's Netzah Yehuda (Haredi) Battalion 300 Strong March Through the City

In honour of the 49th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem 300 members of the Netzah Yehuda battalion marched from Gan Sacher Park, up Bezalel Street, down Ben Yehuda, along King George to Jaffa road through Jaffa Gate and the Jewish Quarter to the Kotel. Police closed streets to allow the soldiers who were dressed out in full combat gear, to pass through the city. What a beautiful site to see our boys singing as they proudly march through our City with the flag of Israel!

The rabbis of the Nahal Haredi Foundation and the Shiluv Menatzeah~IDF Haredi Alumni Association (which accompanies the soldiers during and after their military service) joined the soldiers as they passed their offices and marched alongside them.

At the Kotel Plaza a ceremony was held describing the power in the connection between their battalion, Jerusalem, and the Nation of Israel.

Bear in mind that the young man so brutally murdered, Taylor Force, was an American Tourist and Not Jewish. He was enrolled in an MBA program in Vanderbilt University and came to Israel as part of his studies to “expand his understanding of global entrepreneurship and also to share his insights and knowledge with start-ups in Israel.” There was absolutely no reason for Taylor Force to be attacked. He was good person trying to contribute to a better world!!

The barbarian who slaughtered this young man, also wounded eleven other people in the attack before he was finally shot dead. His contribution to this world = < 0.

This has nothing to do with fake land claims, or false claims of oppression or apartheid or any other lies the PA and thugs dream up. It is about pure primitive hatred bred into each child and nurtured till they die. They are a people filled with vile, overflowing, hate. They want all Jews and non-muslims Dead! They can't even get along with each other. When is the world going to wake up??

Why Do I Love Living in Jerusalem?

Anyone who lives in Jerusalem knows that the rest of the world just cannot imagine, or even begin to understand what life is like.

Each day is a discovery, a surprise, a shock, a warm feeling, a mystery, etc. Jerusalem Is The Center Of The World! While there are many who find it horrible (among other things) those of us who choose to stay do so because we instantly know there is no other place on earth for us to be.

Granted, it is hard to live here. The conditions are poor~unless you have a lot of money. The wages very, very low and the work much "less" than most would do in other countries. Not an advertisement to make people want to call this "home". 

What Jerusalem, and all of Eretz Israel has is "spirit". That intangible thing that reaches down to your insides and makes them fee alive, well, and happy. My favorite example came from an Israeli woman who had gone to America to visit for two months. In her words (I paraphrase here):

Everything was so big~the land, the homes, the cars, the stores. The variety of goods of every kind was amazing...but it was not Israel. In America there was no "real" heart in the people. When I got back to Israel, as I stood in line for Customs and Security I watched the people cutting into line and the animated arguments and conversations (it is sometimes hard to tell the difference). When an Israeli woman pushed me and tried to cut into line I grabbed her and gave her a big kiss on the cheek and told her how good it felt to be home!!

Only an Israeli can understand this, only a Jew can feel the deep longing for the land when they are away. For all the warts and rough edges, this is our country~My Country, and I Love It!!

My posts have been almost non-existent since last year. The rundown building (or "hovel" as my friend likes to describe it) that I was living in, had been sold. Unbeknownst to us (the tenants) there the new owner had no intentions of renewing our contracts and he had no intentions of letting us know that!

This is a ploy used over here. The "old" landlord suddenly decides to make an extended contract with the tenants (in our case, until the 31st of December) or any other date they may choose. The tenants are told that this will guarantee their flat and the new landlord will then make his own contract. We were very trusting...

When there was no contact forthcoming from the new owner by mid-December I decided to get the ball rolling and called to make arrangements. The response? "There is no contract~Get Out!!" When I indicated that he at least needs to give notice, and that it was December and there were no flats to rent in Jerusalem (unless you are very, very, wealthy), he replied: "That is not my problem. I give not one minute longer~do what you like but the building is coming down on the first whether you are inside or not"

When I spoke with the others in the building I learned they were also in the same position. Immediately my life was thrown into turmoil. Working full-time and trying to find a place to live is something I would NOT recommend if you live in Jerusalem. Even with the help of friends I could find nothing~it was very depressing. 

I will to do another post on the crap that people are advertising because there is enough material for a novel. Suffice it to say, that greed is alive and well in the Holy City.

On the 31st, with no prospects, I had my belongings packed up and hauled to a storage unit. A wonderful friend offered me a bed until I could find something permanent. On what was probably the worst storm of the year, with water running in the street up to our ankles, my friend and her son helped me drag the remainder of my things to her truck and then to her home. I could write a volume an the kindness of good people...but that is also for another time!

So how hard is it to find a place in Jerusalem?? If you have a shit-load of money, or if you don't mind living like a dog in a leaky, moldy broken down hovel (while paying a huge rent) then I would say you may find something~other than that~it is very, very hard indeed.

I have finally found a place (in March), but it is not long term. For now I have to clean~don't ask!! I also have to wash all of my belongings as they were in storage and are covered in layer upon layer of dust. 

Once I get more or less settled I will do a post on the dire rental situation. Most people aren't aware just how bad the situation is if you are a renter, and the many ways the landlords will squeeze you dry before you even step foot in the place. I will close by saying that the majority of landlords have a chutzpah to charge money for what is "very loosely" termed a flat

Almost twenty years ago my wife Jenine and her best friend started The Special Children's Center from a one-room apartment. Back then they were just teenagers with a dream to change the world, one child at a time. They felt a tremendous need for special children to have a place to flourish, to receive the care and attention they need, and to wrap it up in happiness. With the help of so many believers, that endeavor grew into a multi faceted Center for more than three hundred special children across three locations. 

While there is no end to the demand, there is also no end to their determination. While traveling and performing all over the world for the last fifteen years I’ve seen with my own eyes the gift that music can give and the depths it can reach. The power is within every one of us…you can be anything, no matter what challenges you face. That is the magic of love, and the magic of this song. Fakestinian Hatred Knows No Bounds

It is stunning how wrong the news from North America and Europe is when portraying the situation in Israel. Rather than promoting peace, they are throwing gasoline on the fires of hatred.

A young mother of six, was stabbed to death in front of her children, in her own home, by a terrorist. She was thirty years old, a nurse, holistic healer and was known for always being available whenever anyone was in need. Where was the outcry~apart from sympathy for the terrorist that is...

There are no words to describe the multitude of feelings that course through the mind when these continued, uncalled for attacks on innocents pass with barely a nod from the world at large. Yet, a terrorist shot while attacking and killing, or trying to kill Jews, is hailed as a martyr, wailed over, and of course, his family gets a large pension funded by the EU and friends.

Meanwhile, the EU is building "ILLEGAL" Arab houses on Jewish Land!! Note that they want all Jewish homes (built on legally purchased land) destroyed. When Israel tore down a few Arab homes built with no purchase, permission or safety checks on "acknowledged Jewish Land" the EU and UN threw a hissy fit. What bizzaro world are they living in!

Arabs are fed lies from birth, they are raised to act murderously for the sake of those lies. They are now being told that Mary and Jesus were Palestinian, and if you watch the clip below you will hear the claim that the Church of the Holy Sepulcher is also theirs~along with the Holy sites of the very Jews they want to kill. What do Muslims do to synagogues and churches? They turn them into Mosques or destroy them.

As you watch the clip below, remember, this is a culture that will never be satisfied with one piece of land. They want it all, and they want Islam to be the only law in the entire world. Eventually, this will be on your doorstep. All through history this has proven to be true and in these times we are not only facing the violence, but a people who have learned to take advantage of the democracy and "political correctness". 

Ignoring the reality will not improve things~this is a primitive culture that only knows force and violence. Those who are kind to the cruel, will end up being cruel to the kind~then in the end they themselves will end up being oppressed.
