I am not sure what to make of this story, but looking at the posters makes me feel very uncomfortable! I know that Switzerland has always been thought of as a neutral country--but it seems "hate" abounds even in "neutral" zones.
The picture to the left shows a doll with an arrow through his head, an Israeli flag and a kippa--that would indicate a Jew.
I saw this article on Philosemitism Blog, who posted that the ad was for a Swiss national day party planned for 01 August, by the extremist group GNC (Genève Non Conforme). As well as a doll wearing a kippa, an Israeli flag on it's chest with an arrow in its forehead there is an apple, invoking the legend of William Tell, with the slogan, “Save Switzerland: Shoot Straight!” in French.
Okay, so this is a party for the Swiss National Day...hmmmm. Apparently the GNC claim it is not anti-semitic, but rather anti-Israel. I wonder if they know that Israel is a Jewish country--and, the only Jewish country in the world?
The poster above has been altered on their site, and is now minus the kippa. Oh, and they promise "music, roasted [!] food, beer and much more": Should be quite a BBQ.
What I find disturbing is the direct targeting of Jews, but it is not the Jews who are rioting, attacking women (and everyone else) and calling for Sharia law. Strange they don't depict Muhammad with a sword and a Koran in his hand--but, what the heck, it is just so easy to blame the Jews, isn't it?
