Amir Benayoun~Israeli Singer Banned by Petty Politician
I have written before of Israeli singer Amir Benayoun (See Links Below Video). He is very popular with the people and many of his songs speak to the events present and past in this country.
He has addressed issues from the barbaric murder of the Fogel Family in 2013 to a song for international Holocaust Day. Last summer he gave a concert in Hevron, where he met with a survivor of the Hevron Massacre (who sadly passed away this year).
Amir Benayoun had been scheduled to sing at an event marking the expulsion of Jews from Arab Lands and Iran on Sunday, 30 November 2014. Suddenly, President Reuven Rivlin cancelled his appearance. Why? Because Benayoun wrote a song pertaining to the situation in Jerusalem and Israel today. On his Facebook page Benayoun states that he "wrote a protest song from great pain over the recent wave of terror." The song addresses the violence and targeting of Israelis and the pain it causes. It is a response to the terrorism in which Arab terrorists used their positions of employment in order to murder Jews.
The news does not report it, but Arabs are rioting, attacking, and destroying property of Jews on a daily basis. The costs are in the millions of shekels. Most of the Arabs carrying out these heinous attacks live and/or work in
Israel. Arab Israelis receive the same benefits as Jewish Israelis,
such as medical services and child support, from the state. They attend
Israeli schools and universities and in fact, have more rights than
Arabs in any "Arab" country. They do not appreciate this, because they "want it all".
Raised on hatred and taught lies on a daily basis, the goal is not a
two state solution, but a one state solution with all Jews dead. In
fact, many Arab-Israelis are in favour of terror attacks and support the
elimination of the Jewish people.
And Jews are being murdered, such as the five men who were hacked and shot to death in a synagogue this past week~an evil act that was carried out by two Arabs wielding axes, knives and guns, one of whom was employed in a shop next to the very synagogue they attacked. How convenient!
Heaven forbid that we should admit the truth. So far only one government member, Minister for Senior Citizens, Uri Orbach (Jewish Home) has spoken out against the cancellation, saying he would not attend the event because he views the cancellation as an infringement on freedom of expression. Indeed, there is usually no comment when the criticism is aimed at religious Jews or pro-Jewish groups, but let an Israeli speak the truth on Arabs attacking Jews, and the government gets its knickers in a twist. What a group of sick-minded people. Shame on them all!
To all who are due to attend this event, how about speaking up for the rights of Jewish Israelis, and refuse to attend unless Amir Benayoun is allowed to perform as originally planned?

Officer Zidan Saif Succumbs to Injuries in Terror Attack
Officer Zidan Sayif, 30 |
Police Officer Zidan Saif, 30, has died from his injuries in Tuesday's terror attack
at a synagogue in Har Nof. He was from the Druze village of Kfar Yanouch in the Galilee. Officer Saif is survived by his wife and four month old daughter.
The funeral service and eulogies for Officer Saif will take place today, Wednesday, 19 November 2014, at 14:00 (2:00 pm) at the community center plaza in Yanuh Jat.
At approximately 7:00 am, on Tuesday, 18 November 2014, during Shacharit, two terrorists entered Kehilat Yaakov Synagogue on Shimon Agassi Street in HarNof and
attacked worshipers with axes, meat cleavers, and guns while screaming Allahu Akbar.
The first to respond was Israeli Druze police officer Zidan Saif. Witnesses say he was shot in the head while trying to protect another police officer. Officer Saif later succumbed to his wounds at Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Kerem. Four rabbis were also killed in the murderous attack.
We have lost another hero, who sacrificed his life to protect his country.

UPDATE: Terror Attack in Jerusalem~Four Dead
Reports keep coming in about the terror attack. Police are searching for a third man and it has now been released that one of the attackers had been a prisoner who was released in the Shalit deal. No surprise there~
It is being reported that the attack was not random, rather it was very well planned. Quoted from a first responder:
"Two terrorists infiltrated the synagogue and massacred worshipers during prayer, THEY WERE WEARING PRAYER SHAWLS AND PHYLACTERIES."
This is a clear indication that the terrorists disguised themselves as Jews (as they often do) to get in amongst the worshipers.
------------------------------
As if daily riots, and terror attacks with vehicles and knives are not enough!
This morning, while Jews were praying in Kehilat Yaakov Synagogue on Shimon Agassi Street in HarNof, two, possibly three Arab terrorists broke in with knives, axes and guns and began attacking the unarmed worshipers.

According to the reports they began stabbing people, then opened fire with guns. Police arrived and a gunfight ensued. Two police officers were wounded before two of the terrorists were shot dead. It is not confirmed but there may be a third terrorist on the loose.
Reports vary, but it is said that four are dead and thirteen injured. The attackers are believed to be "fakestinians" from East Jerusalem.
I've said it before and I will say it again, and again~you can never have peace with these people. They are inbred with hatred from conception. They are mentally ill. They worship death and will not stop until they have killed all the Jews.
Their leaders (our peace partners??) and world news media spout the same rhetoric every day for all to hear and see. The PA uses world "donations" to print text books filled with hatred and lies while they pay monthly salaries to terrorists based on how many Jews they killed.
Just what part of their message does the rest of the world NOT understand??...OR does the world also want all the Jews dead?

Israel or Palestine~It Was Always the Jewish Homeland!
Larousse French Dictionary~1939 |
It is always a surprise when I hear Arabs crying that they were "robbed of their ancient homeland" by the evil Jews.
It is even more stunning to hear organizations like the UN, the EU and others agree with them.
The picture above left is of a Larousse French dictionary from 1939. In a story from Factual Israel we learn that there is an alphabetical index of flags listed.
The article states that this appendix lists
all the (then) current flags of the world in alphabetical order. For example, the flag for Germany at the time was Nazi, complete with swastika~which confirms this was printed at least pre-1945.
They searched for the Palestinian Flag and confirmed that, YES, there was
indeed a flag.
What did it look like?
That's it on the right...Oh My!
That's it on the right...Oh My!
They also provide a link to the Palestine Mandate at Yale Law School for anyone interested in reading it.
The fact is, up to the 1960's the name "Palestine" was always synonymous with "Jewish"~as it has been for the past several thousand years. In fact, Arabs before then refused to call themselves "Palestinians", until the terrorist Arafat, rolled in from Egypt (where he was born) and decided to change history. He was a great believer of the line, "If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself". Since the 1960's the constant lies and history-twisting of the Arab/Islamic world has come to fruition, as there are now millions of people who only know the "revised" version of history created by those who wish to destroy Israel.
For all who were under the impression that (Mandate
Jewish) Palestine was an Islamic Arab-Turkish-whatever Sovereign
State, that the evil Jews stole for themselves~Maybe you should look back at the real history~before the Islamic world started to rewrite it...

Jerusalem is Under Constant Attack From Terrorists...
Crushed Stroller of 3-Month Old Murdered in Terror Attack |
Those of us who live in Jerusalem are well aware of the daily attacks~on Jews~by Arabs. Call them whatever you want, but these are terrorists with murder in their hearts whose chief desire is to see all Jews dead. There it is!
These attacks are rarely reported in Israeli news and never reported by the world media. Only deaths merit a press mention, and even then, the media almost always manages to present the terrorists as victims, while the real victims are villainized.
Earlier today, an Arab Terrorist targeted Jews exiting the light rail in Jerusalem~charging into them with his car (See Video Below). He drove about fifteen meters on the tracks, hitting nine people. He continued for a few hundred meters before hitting a pole. He then exited the car and tried to flee on foot, but was shot and wounded by police. Of course, his family claim he was an innocent boy~it was just an accident. Watch the video clip from the security camera...
UPDATE~The terrorist, Abdur Rahman Slodi of Shiloach, has reportedly died in hospital from his wounds (may his name be erased).
Chaya Zissel Braun, hy"d |
Three month old Chaya Zissel Braun
died in this murderous attack...
She was with her parents who were returning from prayers at the Kotel. Her stroller was struck, and baby Haya was found ten meters away. She was rushed to Hadassa hospital, but died two hours later.
Her grandparents, arrived this day in Israel to meet their long waited for grandchild~instead, after only a few hours, they were attending her funeral. There are no words...
I'm sure the vermin in the EU will join with the UN to find some way to blame the devastated parents for this tragedy!
Meanwhile, Hamas is celebrating another terror attack~jumping for joy at the death of an infant~because she is a Jew.
Make no mistake~this was a terrorist who knew exactly what he was doing~he was a known member of Hamas and has a record of terror attacks. From a post on Arutz 7:
The
Arab driver has now been confirmed (7:40 pm IST) to have been resident
of the Shiloach/Silwan neighborhood and a member of Hamas~and to have
served in Israeli prison before for terrorism...
Photos: Yiddish News |
Personally, I wish our law enforcement people would take a firm decision to "shoot to kill". Why should a piece of crap like this be allowed to sit in our jails, getting fat and educated at our expense while UN/EU funds are used to pay him and his family thousands of dollars each month? And he would get thousands~the more Jews a terrorist kills or maims, the higher the "salary" he is paid by the PA.
So, were
Arabs living in Israel concerned or afraid after this attack? Were they prevented from carrying out their daily schedules? NO! Arabs in Jerusalem and
elsewhere in Israel walk freely without fear~anywhere they please,
anytime they please. From the most religious street in Mea Shearim, to
the most secular areas in the country, Arabs in Israel know they face no threat.
Photo: Maximilian Dörrbecker |
Jerusalem has a fat-cat mayor who is more interested in building luxury hotels and paying millions to bring race cars to town, than he is in the fact that Jews forced to sleep in the streets~and worse~that Jews are constantly under attack from Arab terrorists. I have written before that Nir Barkat would make a crappy mayor and he is living up to my prediction. Not that he is alone~our PM and his cronies head up "Team PC".
The decision to "Not" publish the daily attacks on Jews is a stupid one to put it mildly.
What genious came up with the idea that "not telling the truth" would somehow aid in keeping the peace?? The more our government covers up, the more dangerous the attacks become.
Some Israeli news outlets have hinted at a "Silent Intifada". Seriously? It is only silent to the likes of Bibi Netanyahu and his wife, "lady Sara MacBeth", who retire every night to their villa in Ceasarea via an armed convoy under the constant protection of personal body guards. Just prior to posting this, I was speaking to a friend who described the scene from her balcony...helicopter overhead, armed riot police suiting up, screeming Arabs hurling rocks and whatever~Just another typical night on the street where she lives. Silent indeed!
Jews in many parts of Jerusalem cannot park their vehicles in front of their homes at night for fear they will be fire-bombed or at the very least have the windows smashed and the tires slashed. In other neighbourhoods Jews risk being lynched for the simple act of walking down the street. Imagine how you would feel if it was not safe to leave your home without an armed guard or to be unable to allow your children to play outside!
What would you do if your house was constantly pelted with stones? Do you know what it is like to wake up in the middle of the night because your home is on fire~from a molotov cocktail? In Israel, it is the Jews who experience all of these things.
Yes, we put bars on our windows, and watch which streets we travel on...but far too many are being injured~the damage to property and people is huge. The only silence involved here is the silent cowardice of our elected officials!

The world has fallen for the "great lie" in which murdering terrorists are painted as suffering victims, while the real victims are blamed for being attacked. From
the EU to the UN to church and student groups the party line is that Israel is the
"evil one" who creates all the problems for the "poor palestinians"~Therefore it is Israel who prevents "peace" from breaking out in the middle east and all over the world.
Will someone please explain to me how murdering a three month old baby can bring any kind of "peace"...

A Sukkot Story~Ushpizin
This temporary abode is a must for the eight days of Sukkot, as is the imperitive to invite guests (ushpizin) to sit in your sukkah and enjoy food and drink. It is said that one must try to be happy for the entire eight days of the holiday~something that is not always easy!
The film below is the story of a devout couple, Moshe and Mali. Although married nearly five years, they remain childless and broke. Mali is praying for a miracle for Sukkot.
Unbelievably it appears that Mali's prayers are being answered. A friend tells Moshe of a sukkah that has been abandoned and offers to help assemble it. Meanwhile, a local charity decides at the last minute to make the family the beneficiary of their fundraising. There are even two unexpected guests (ushpizin) to share their bounty.
It seems too good to be true (and it is)! Moshe decides he must have the best etrog ever~at the unheard of price of NIS 1,000. Mali is horrified that all of their money has been spent, and the ushpizin turn out to be escaped convicts who soon show their true colours as they decide to "stay on".
Suddenly the miracles have become trials. The convicts reveal Moshe's past and try to lure him into his old ways. Mali is suspicious and of course, there has to be some "rabbinical advice" thrown in for good measure. Moshe wants to do the right thing~but can this mess work out in the end?

This is actually a very good film. You will see the intimate lifestyle in a small, religious community, and share the stress as Moshe and Mali try to work out their troubles. It is in Hebrew, but there are English sub-titles, and it is a film well worth watching.

Yom Kippur and The Shofar
In 1930, the British in "British Mandate Palestine" passed a law against the Jews to prevent them from doing many things at the Kotel, such as forbidding them to bring Torah Scrolls, praying loudly, or blowing the Shofar! This was so as not to offend the "Arab" population.
What a change from those days to the present! Well, maybe not so much. We can now pray out loud, have minyans and Torah scrolls, and the joyful sounds of the Shofar are heard across the plaza. Although the Arab population have their "muezzins" screaming at full volume over high-powered loud speakers many times a day all over Israel, the Jews keep tradition and use only their voices and the natural sounds of the Shofar.
On Yom Kippur~the holiest day in the year for Jews~the Shofar is blown at the end of a full day of fasting and praying. The day begins at sundown when Jews light candles and go to the synagogue for the Kol Nidrei service. We fast and pray and when the
final Shofar note is sounded at the end of the next day, it proclaims a "closing of the gates" for the process of divine judgment and gives us the confidence that our
efforts have been noticed and our prayers and supplications have been accepted
before Hashem.
Whenever Jews were forbidden to pray and blow the Shofar, as it was under the British, there was always a group of brave young men who managed the holy task. In 1930 (and for the next seventeen years), the Shofar was sounded at the Kotel on Yom Kippur.
The Jail Dorm in Jerusalem (Click to Enlarge) |
Shofars were smuggled in to the Kotel where brave teenagers defiantly blew them at the conclusion of the fast. If they were caught, they were a were sent to jail for up to six months.
Six of these men returned to the scene of their "crime".
In the video below they describe how they were able to blow the Shofar on Yom Kippur, with the help of the entire community. Once again they blew their Shofars at the Kotel, but this time they were free men~Jews in their Holy City, Jerusalem.
Throughout the centuries the Jewish people have managed to survive against all odds. I believe it is because there has always been a core of faithful who refuse to assimilate and put their faith in Hashem and our Holy Torah above all else. This is but one story.

Shana Tova~Sweet Memories of an Amazing Lady!
Leah bat Simcha ז״ל (September 1932~July 2014) |
Tommorow (Wednesday, 24 September 2014) is the first night of Rosh Hoshanah.
Many of us have been saying Selichot, and many are just looking forward to taking time off to be with family.
For me, I feel a mixture of sadness along with the joy of the New Year. This summer, on Monday, 22 July 2014 at 11:59 EST, my dear friend Leah bat Simcha left this world to be with Hashem.
Leah's birthday fell on Rosh Hoshanah, and each year she celebrated the day by giving a huge feast for her friends. Her table was a glory to behold and her food amazing. Each setting was complete with name tags sitting on a little menorah and a scroll listing the simanim and blessings so all could recite them together. There was laughter, singing and most important of all would be our hostess! Anyone who met Leah or attended one of her meals could not help but love her.
In all things she desired to please Hashem. She kept a list of people that she would pray for each day and she selflessly devoted her life to "all people", and always seemed to know just what to say or do. Leah never pushed, but then she would not back down either. Her faith was a shining force within her which she wanted to share with the world. Even when she was dreadfully ill, her time was spent in planning ways in which to help others. Her faith in Hashem did not waver and she never gave up hope!
While I rejoice in the coming festivities, there is also an empty place in my heart. That is the spot that Leah occupied. So, this Rosh Hoshana and each one hereafter I raise my glass to my beloved friend, sister, mother, advisor~the one who gave so much and represents everything good in a human being. I will remember and have a "little l'chaim"~Shana Tova and Happy Birthday Leah~Thank You For Being You!
It is said that
“all inhabitants of the world pass before G-d like a flock of sheep,
and it is decreed in the heavenly court,
who shall live, and who shall die,
who shall be impoverished, and who shall be enriched;
who shall fall and who shall rise.”
It was Hashem's decree that Leah had fulfilled her purpose, but I, like the rest of us on this earth must continue to strive to reach our own full potential. May we all be given another year to do so!
I wish everyone

New York City Muslim Day Parade~What the Hell!?!
Everybody has parades. Most cities in the free world have no problem giving permits to those who want to "show their stuff". It is not always what we would like to see, but then, we are free to stay home.
The Question Is: Just how far does "freedom" go?
Only days after the anniversary of 9/11 New York City saw the "Muslim Day Parade". In my mind a parade evokes visions of fun, and laughter and sometimes a good pipe band. With the theme of "Islam and America Share Common Values", one would expect to see many positive displays, but this was not the case!
Regardless of the "spin" this parade comes across as little more than a celebration of dominance and support of terror. Ezra Levant spoke with Pamela Gellar about the symbolism~and raised many questions.
Whether you like the people discussing the parade is of no consequence. What you need to look at it the "content" of this parade. If this is what is to be considered "sharing common values" then the free world is in desperate trouble.
Those in Canada should not be smug because this is not much different than what goes on in Toronto and other cities across the country. The glorification of barbarism and the open call for Israel to be obliterated have overtaken common sense and humanity.
Please watch carefully. We are approaching the abyss~unless good people stand up and say "enough" we will be doomed to step over the edge into darkness!
This Took Place in New York City Right After 9/11~I'm Gobsmacked!

Prayers For Rebbetzin Henny Machlis
Anyone who visits Jerusalem will know the Machlis family. For over thirty years they have opened their home to all Jews for traditional Shabbat meals. They give selflessly, greating everyone with warm smiles, good food and a taste of Judaism. They have never asked for anything in return.
From Rabbi Mordechai Machlis, countless numbers of people have begun to learn and continue to learn about Judaism, and to feel the fire of Torah. He is able to do this with the help of his loving wife Henny. All who have crossed their doorstep know her cheerful smile and genuine love, as she welcomes guests with the rabbi. If you have never known true love of Hashem and mankind, you will feel it and catch it in this house!
Now, friends of the Machlis family are asking for something in return~Your Prayers! I received this message and am passing it on. Please read and share with all of your friends...And Please Pray!

Please Daven and say Tehillim for the next two weeks for beloved Rebbetzin Henny Machlis who is

Are You Ready for This Future? Should We Be Afraid?
As one who loves technology, I remain aware and concerned that our growing population is changing primarily due to the very technology that is "freeing us". We are becoming less engaged in life.
If the world continues to spawn large cities with a majority population consisting of unemployed, uninvolved people who are spending their days watching TV, playing video games and "eating"~we are in a lot of trouble. Even the intellectually inclined who laud the technology that now allows them to spend their time in critical thinking and creative endeavors are not immune.
The human mind does need stimulation, but so does the body~and I am not referring to doing a mile on the treadmill or a weekly "spin-class". We started out "in the beginning" as "hunter-gatherers". In order to survive we had to engage the world around us. Mankind has come a long way~but have we really?
I see the changes in small ways, like children no longer running and playing freely~with no electronics~just a ball or a rope and curiousity about the world around them. Our children are so glued to their phones, tablets and consoles that many are losing the ability to communicate "face to face". They are not learning the art of being engaged in the world around them!
What about outdoor play? Once kids would tie a tire and rope to a tree for hours of fun~Now children are confined to "safe play areas" with sterile, safety approved, playground equipment. A bruised knee can result in removal of the offenseve piece. I am all for child safety and Yes, I did worry myself sick every time my children were not sitting right in front of me, but preventing them from taking on their world is not the answer. Add to this the growing obesity in society and the fact that we now have a problem with morbid obesity in elementary students! What's in their future?

Millions of young people worldwide graduate with large debts and no prospects. As larger numbers of degrees are given for topics like "Gender Analysis in Economics" or "Sexuality and Queer Studies", "Women's and Gender Studies" and on and on~just who will pay for whatever it is that these people are supposed to be doing? How many positions can there ever be? How are the huge student loans to be repaid?? If the majority of the world population are no longer employed, Who will support them? and more to the point, Why will anyone even want to support them in the long term?
The short film below is not a "doomsday" prophecy, but a simple look at a problem that is here~now. As we are advancing at an ever increasing rate, we do indeed face a world where the majority have "no purpose". Isn't it time we started thinking about it?
Here is Some Food for Thought~Do Take Time to Watch to the End...

Tisha B'Av 2014~Women In Green Had a Large Turnout!
Bringing Out the Flags to Start the Women in Green Walk |
As in previous years, the starting point is in the park and begins with the public reading of Eicha. Then, the flags come out, and when the police give the "OK" the walk begins.
This year, they changed the route of the walk due to the funeral of the young father of five who was killed by a terrorist. Sadly, his young children will forever know true mourning on Tisha B'Av.
One aspect of the walk is the mood of the crowd. We walk at a leisurely pace, many carry flags, some sing, and everyone is in a quiet, but "up" mood. The streets on the route are blocked as the marchers fill the road and join together in solidarity.
For years, Nadia Matar has organized this walk around the walls with a police escort, and it is a wonderful way to see the ancient stones and gates that one is normally unable to see.
Generally, it is not possible (for Jews) to walk the circumfrence of the Old City. The reason is, that "east" Jerusalem is too dangerous for Jews without a police escort! While the world calls us "apartheid", they fail to see that Arabs go where they please in Israel, while Jews are lynched if they happen to walk down the wrong street.
Nadia Matar (Center) at End of Walk |
This year, we were very dissappointed when the walk was cut short at Zion's gate. We opted not to stay for the speaches and instead made our way to the Kotel.
What was heartening was the huge number of people who were in attendance. As we began walking, Nadia was speaking on an intercom and began listing the places people had travelled from for the walk. In addition to all areas of Israel, people were here from all over the world. People had come from places like Bolivia, Uruguay, all parts of the USA, Europe and beyond.
At one point, Nadia told us to turn around and look behind us. It was quite amazing! People were walking as far as the eye could see. Thousands had turned out! It was amazing to see so many people filling the streets all in support of Israel, and our capitol, Jerusalem!

It is the first time that I have seen the Old City with hardly any people walking around! Many streets were totally empty~no people in site. This added to the desolation and feeling of mourning.
The Kotel Plaza did have numbers of people, but not nearly as many as in previous years.
I did notice, as we left, that more people were streaming in. Many carried small stools, pillow, blankets and foam pads, as they prepared to spend the night fasting and praying.
In front of the Churva Synagogue there was a very interesting display of the Beit Ha Mikdash. A young woman was explaining the meaning of the different areas and also teaching about the history.
It was a modular setup which she was able to take apart to provide a clearer view. She was very good in her explanations, and took time to address questions from the many people gathered round.
The display itself was very good, as was the lecture. Much to my dismay, it was impossible to get close to for a picture as the crowd was pressing in.

Our enemies may attack us on a daily basis, but Israel, and especially our capitol Jerusalem, was ours for 3,000 years and will remain ours forever!
