Slow Posting~No Posting

Since Rosh Hashanah my posts have dropped off. There have been many reasons, working long, long hours, not having internet where I live, looking for a new flat, and a dozen other "facts of life" I've been dealing with.

For the short term I decided to pull back for a bit to re-group and give my gray cells a break.

I have loads of pictures, videos and other things on the back burner and I will start putting them out in the next days. Admittedly some may be a little past their "use by date" so bear with me... Meanwhile, do visit some of the links listed, and if you have anything you would like posted, do send it on...

Falling~A Rock Version of David & Goliath?

There is an interesting story in Arutz 7 about the group JudaBlue, who define themselves as a Jewish rock group. It is an interesting read.

Their description from the video states:
Born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, JudaBlue is a group of five friends who realize that the passion for music and spirituality can be meshed and amplified through the monitors of a high energy rock concert...We categorize our music as Jewish Rock, but the music and the message crosses all borders and is all in the same image. Help raise awareness of a lack of consciousness that has fallen over this world.

You can hear more of their music on their website:   http://www.myspace.com/judablue
I like Darchei Noam...meanwhile, here is the video of David and Goliath~Enjoy....

More On Canada's Non-Honour Mass Murders

Three girls (the youngest only thirteen) and their step-mother were brutally murdered by their own family~for wanting to integrate and be "Canadian".

The trial is in progress and it brings to the forefront the evil that is allowed to take root in our country by political correctness and pandering politicians.

To allow men to bring more than one wife into the country is foolishness. To ignore the ongoing violation of Canadian laws and freedoms perpetrated by those who come to Canada as refugees and immigrants is beyond the pale. As Raheel Raza says later in the clip, "Why is this kind of garbage even being allowed in our countries?" Why indeed!

Please listen closely to what is being said. Canada (and all western countries) are in great danger~and if you are a woman you should be afraid. Be very afraid, because in all the growing numbers of violations against women, the "women's movements" and "human rights" groups are strangely silent!

Toronto Police Wearing Hijabs Now?

Toronto has been in the news a lot lately, but sadly it is not always good news. There is a trend that can be seen from this short list:
* A school turns cafeteria into prayer room;
* Rabid anti-Jew hate fests being allowed in Queens park;
* Bloggers are being threatened for reporting facts, and being told that this is Islamic Canada and the police will (apparently) enforce the will of the crooks in question (you really have to read this one to believe it)...

And the list goes on~Now the police department is consulting fundamentalist muslims regarding policy, including hijabs for policewomen, and perhaps even the full niquab in the future.

Please Note that after the byline, there is an interview on the topic with Tarek Fatah. It makes one wonder if Toronto will soon become a No-Go Zone for all non-muslims...

Matisyahu~Elijah's Song

This story is~...Please add as many inspiring words  as you can think of.
There is a song titled "Elijah's Song" that was recorded in the ICU. Thanks to recording artist, Matisyahu, this boy's song is now being heard all over America, and hopefully the world.  These are Matisyahu's words:

A few years ago a young man approached me in synagogue with a request for me to meet a young boy with cancer. I had become somewhat numb to any requests asked of me in shul as I get hit up all the time for all sorts of things when all I really want to do is pray and leave like any normal person. After some time and persistence on this young man's part, I agreed to meet Elijah on the upper west side.

I was immediately taken by him and we became friends. He would come to shows, we would text each other, and a year ago I went to surprise him at his bar mitzvah and sing with him at the party. He asked me if we could record a song together and as the year went on it sort of fell off my radar.

Late last year we had a show in Florida and Elijah came. After the show he asked me again about the song and we made a plan to go into the studio.

The next day I got a call that he had been admitted to the hospital and was too sick to leave.

My friend and guitar player Adam Weinberg and I realized Elijah might not have much time to do this and so we went to hospital with a little home studio to write and record a song. After 2 hours of trying to get a clean recording of his voice, I was getting tired and frustrated and so Adam and I went into the hallway to get some air.

I told Adam I didn't think we could get a recording, "Neither of us are sound engineers." Adam convinced me that we may not get another shot and so we went back into the room and wrote and recorded this song with Elijah.

The ideas for the music and majority of the words came from Elijah himself. We walked out of the hospital around 12am feeling good about Elijah and his song.

The next day I got a text that he had passed away in the middle of the night.

According to Matisiyahus's site, if you donate a minimum of $1 you will receive two versions of Elijah's Song~including the special version with Elijah and Matisyahu singing together the night before Elijah left this world. I can't think of a better way to spend a dollar~Can You?

Many thanks to Jewlicious for the story. Do go to the site for the complete story and the words to Elijah's Song and these links to listen:

According to their site, Elijah's soul left this world last December...Baruch Dayan HaEmet

All I can say is, Matisyahu, Hashem should bless you...

Those Were The Days~Comments Made in 1955...

This was making the rounds in an email--it's just too good not to share! Enjoy...

1] I'll tell you one thing,
if things keep going the way they are, it's going to be impossible to buy a week's groceries for $10

2] Have you seen the new cars coming out next year? It won't be long before $2,000 will only buy a used one

3] If cigarettes keep going up in price,

I'm going to quit; 20 cents a pack is ridiculous...

4] Did you hear ?
The post office is thinking about charging 7 cents just to mail a letter

5] If they raise the minimum wage to $1,

nobody will be able to hire outside help at the store

6] When I first started driving, who would have thought gas would someday cost 25 cents a gallon. Guess we'd be better off leaving the car in the garage

7]  I'm afraid to send my kids to the movies any more.
Ever since they let Clark Gable get by with saying Damn in Gone With The Wind, it seems every new movie has either HELL or DAMN in it !

8] I read the other day where some scientist thinks it's possible to put a man on the moon by the end of the century. They even have some fellows they call astronauts preparing for it down in Texas

9] Did you see where some baseball player just signed a contract for $50,000 a year just to play ball? It wouldn't surprise me if someday they'll be making more than the President

10] I never thought I'd see the day all our kitchen appliances would be electric.  They're even making electric typewriters now

11]  It's too bad things are so tough nowadays. I see where a few married women are having to work to make ends meet

12] It won't be long before young couples are going to have to hire someone to watch their kids so they can both work

13] I'm afraid the Volkswagen car is going to open the door to a whole lot of foreign business

14] Thank goodness I won't live to see the day when the Government takes half our income in taxes. I sometimes wonder if we are electing the best people to government

15]  The fast food restaurant is convenient for a quick meal, but I seriously doubt they will ever catch on

16] There is no sense going on short trips anymore for a weekend. It costs nearly $2 a night to stay in a hotel !

17] No one can afford to be sick anymore. At $15 a day in the hospital, it's too rich for my blood

18] If they think I'll pay 30 cents for a haircut, forget it

Yep,
Those Were The Days!

How to Dip Your Apple in Honey...

My wish is that you have a truly sweet, healthy and safe New Year in 5772!
