Israeli Soldiers Reject Breaking the Silence's Lies

Flag of IDF (From Wikipedia)
Below is a video rebuttal to claims made against the IDF (Israel Defense Forces)

When the Soldiers who actually served with Dean Issacharoff of Breaking the Silence saw a video in which he made outrageous claims against the IDF they decided they must speak out.

Issacharoff's organization regularly releases distorted stories that omit vital details, or quite simply, are direct lies. The end result, of course, slanders the IDF and brings criticism to Israel as a country.

The false narrative implemented by Breaking the Silence blames Israel~solely~for every ill in the ongoing conflict, while at the same time, totally exonerating the "palestinians" as poor victims.

If you really want to see peace in the middle-east it is time to see organizations like Breaking the Silence for what it they: A manipulative group which seeks to demonise the IDF and the State of Israel.

The young men and women of the IDF are faced with danger and possible death every day of their service, yet they are out there making our country a safe place for citizens, tourists and haters alike. Many go above and beyond what should be expected of them. They are not deserving of such miserable treatment.  It is time to shut the political manipulators down!

Israel's Hero: Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Netanyahu

Sunday, 30 April 2017 is Yom Hazikaron~Remembrance Day for Our Fallen Soldiers. Every young man and woman who serves is worthy of praise. As in every day life, there are always some who stand apart~above~the others. In Israel, Jonathan (Yoni) Netanyahu was one of them.

His life was short, but what he achieved will always be remembered. His letters, which started when he was in his teens, show that he was a deep thinker, a scholar and of course a warrior who loved his country and his people.

Below are two of the better videos on the life of Yoni Netanyahu. The first is a movie documentary, that in my opinion is one of the best. It shows the events in Israel as they affected the life of Israel's greatest hero...Yoni.

Are Humans More Valuable Than Animals??

This is a great video by Dennis Prager. I have listened to his five-minute videos from Prager University since it was established. Like any other organization, I don't always agree with everything he says, but I always come away informed!

I found this video particularly interesting. Because I live in the Middle-East~and I am surrounded by those who would kill me in an instant~I might consider saving my dog first (I'm a dog-person). On the other hand, I do believe in the value of human life, so this leaves me with a dilemma.

The truth of the matter is, until I am in that situation, I don't know what I would do. For all I know I may just freeze and do nothing. Actually, if it was in deep water I would not be able to do much~I can't swim, or even float!

So tell me~Who Would You Save First??

Fast of 10th of Tevet~Sunday, 08 January 2017

For all Jews, the 10th of Tevet, is a day of fasting, mourning and repentance. Tevet 10 or Asarah BeTevet is also the day selected as a "general Kaddish day" for the victims of the Holocaust whose date of death remains unknown. Although work is permitted we  do not eat  food or drink any liquid from just before daybreak  until nightfall. We also add Selichot and supplements to our regular daily prayers.

On the tenth of Tevet, the armies of the Babylonian emperor Nebuchadnezzar laid siege to Jerusalem, leading to the fall of the city. Thirty months later the walls were breached and on the 9th of Av (Tisha B'Av)Solomon's Holy Temple was destroyed and the Jews were exiled to Babylonia for seventy years.

For Orthodox Jews the destruction of the First Temple was the beginning of the end for the Jewish people. The Second Temple may have exceeded the First Temple in magnificence, but it did not have the holiness of the First Temple. Nebuchadnezzar  had looted the Holy Vessels, and the miracles of the First Temple were absent.

As we ponder the reasons for the fall of the Holy Temples the question must be asked: What are we doing now to change all of this. Sadly, the answer seems to be "not to much"! As Jews we need to look to Hashem for guidance~not to the nations! Day in and Day out we must pray that Israel remembers not only to fast, but why we fast and make our minds up NOT to do the same things again!
May you have a meaningful fast.
