Peace in Jerusalem ~ In Our Time...

Each year it seems that the world is heading closer to disaster. Perhaps if you live in North America, or other such places it is not so evident, but in Israel, it is as if we "feel" the moods of the universe.

Many people who make aliyah can't hold up under the pressure. The worst are the ones who come to Israel for all the wrong reasons. They have a romantic idea that that once they are in Israel, all their problems will be instantly resolved. When the aliyah basket runs out, and reality sets in, they gripe and complain, and even return to where they came from. Many don't accept that when you move to Israel you are merely one of the crowd~you will struggle to make a living and survive the constant chaos that seems to cling to our tiny country. Israelis on the whole are a caring lot, but this is a tough neighborhood and there is no time for molly coddling.

That being said, if one can "fit" into the mindset, there is no better place to be. The sages say, that living in the Eretz Yisrael is a mitzvah equal to all the others. Once in the land, we should not leave~there are only a few special reasons to go out.

Each year at the Seder Jews finish by saying "Next Year in Jerusalem" as we pray for our Holy Temple to be rebuilt. What has become a "force of habit" for diaspora Jews is still a strong cry for those of us living in Jerusalem. I pray that we will see the rebuilding of the temple, soon, and that peace will come in our time.

The Passover Story~Still My Favourite Clip!

Most of us should be almost finished with the last of our Pesach cleaning.

We will have sold any Chametz belonging to us and tonight we will search for the last bit of Chametz~to burn in the morning.

Tomorrow night families and friends will sit down to their Pesach Seder.

We will tell the story of the Exodus and read the Haggadah. The children will ask Ma Nishtanah?

And We Will All Remember the years that have passed--while looking forward to Hashem's promise for the future...

Never Forget the Fogel Family...

animated_candleExactly two years ago today the Fogel Family were brutally murdered by fakestinian barbarians on a Shabbos evening, as they slept in their beds. (Links to Stories Below the Videos)

Father Udi, had his throat slashed, Mother Ruth came from the bathroom and fought to the death, Yoav, 11 years old had his throat slashed while 3 year old Eldad was stabbed multiple times in the heart. Finally, in a last act of savage barbarity, tiny baby Hadas~only 3 months in this world~was slashed and stabbed in the head as she lay next to her dead father...

fogel familyWhat kind of animal slashes and stabs tiny children? What kind of people help them to cover their guilt? And finally, can anyone explain why the disgusting leftist, Raya Yaron, spokeswoman of Machsom Watch (a women's group that interferes with soldiers looking for weapons and explosives at checkposts) ran to embrace Nuf Awad, mother of the murderer? Yet there was not a single tear for the Fogel family. Evil has no shame...

The two murderers confessed to the slaughter of five human beings and expressed no remorse~they even said that had they realized there were two more children sleeping in the house, they would have killed them as well. They saw no problem in slitting baby Hadas's throat, they explained, since she was a Jew.

Don't forget the fakestinians who celebrated and handed out sweets in the street~because innocent children were murdered in their beds.

The world, remained silent~the press all but ignored the events of that night two years ago, and continue to treat it like~like what? A youthful prank? You do not have to defend Israel or the Jewish people, I would not expect that. What I would expect is some semblance of decency, humanity~a family was brutally slaughtered simply because they were Jews!

Killing Jews~well, it is not as if a fakestinian had to go through a checkpoint~now that is a reason for outrage and protests...
